The Maine School of Science and Mathematics requires students to have completed a previous course in the discipline before they are allowed to enroll in an AP level course.

All courses are college level, using college textbooks and curricular materials.

Courses include:

• AP Biology
• AP Calculus AB
• AP Calculus BC
• AP Chemistry
• AP English Language and Composition
  
• AP Literature
• AP French
• AP Literature
• AP Physics B
• AP Physics C
• AP Psychology
• AP Statistics
• AP US History

Students must meet prerequisites in order to register for AP classes. These prerequisites vary from class to class (refer to the course catalog). Any student taking an AP class must take the AP exam for that class.
