The Maine School of Science and Mathematics is a truly special institution. We are a public boarding school dedicated to advanced curriculums in Math, Science and the Humanities. Our faculty, students and staff combine to create a community of passionate, motivated and fun individuals learning and growing together in Northern Maine.
We hope that you will come visit us and experience what it means to be an MSSM student. Beginning in October we will host several Open Houses which give interested students a chance to get to know the school and our community first hand. We encourage you to take advantage of these days so that you can truly get a feel for the advanced level of classroom instruction, our technologies and facilities, and, most importantly, meet our dynamic community. We hope that you will fall in love with the unique passion and academic focus that is found here on our campus. I look forward to meeting you, Pamela Perkins Director of Admissions |

Our residential life program challenges students to achieve a high level of personal accountability and develop skills in relationship building, healthy living and an appreciation of social diversity. MSSM strives to individualize its academic program to suit the needs of individual learners, with an emphasis on challenging students to go well beyond the standard high school curriculum.
We are proud that our students regularly surpass standard expectations by attending some of our nations most elite Colleges and Universities, by being awarded numerous prizes, academic scholarships and merits, by competing and placing in advanced academic programs around the world. Graduates of MSSM are Rhoades Scholars, community leaders, and life long scholars forging new paths in the sciences and humanities.
