The following pages give a very brief overview of what students should be doing in terms of the college search each year they're at MSSM. Of course, nothing can substitute for a meeting with your College Counselor! If you would like to learn more than what you find under different heading, please email me at mccartneym@mssm.org.

Sophomores:

The Sophomore Year is a time when a student's main focus should be on the successful transition from sending school to our community. However, it is never too early to begin doing the following: click here

Juniors:

Your Junior year is just as important as your senior year in terms of the college process. It is at this point that you can truly show colleges what you're capable of accomplishing. Spread your wings academically and have a look at the following tips: click here

Seniors:

Senior year is, of course, crucially important to the college process. During this time, students will take Senior Seminar, a course designed largely as a workshop for the college process. Early Decision and Action Applications are due on the 1st of October. Applications due between December 1st and January 15th are due to the Registrar's office by November 1st. Finally, applications due after January 15th are due to the Registrar by 1st December.
