Mr. Dale Dintaman , a native of Western Maryland , attended Frostburg State University where he received his bachelor's degree in Outdoor Recreation and Park Management. He then spent several years working in an administrative capacity for the YMCA in Washington , DC , where he was later selected to serve as the Mid Atlantic Aquatic Director. Mr. Dintaman then moved to Greenfield , Massachusetts , where he worked as the Senior Director at the YMCA before serving as Director of Parks and Recreation in the town of Vernon, Vermont. In this capacity, he managed outdoor facilities, developed educational and recreational programs, supervised staff, and directed a large budget.
In 2000, Mr. Dintaman accepted a position as House Director for Northfield Mount Hermon School in Gill, Massachusetts . Northfield Mount Hermon, a co-educational, college preparatory school, is respected for its strong academic curriculum, diverse student body, and solid residential program. In addition to working with the residential life program, Mr. Dintaman coached three sports and taught physical education and health.
Mr. Dintaman and his wife, Sheila, have two sons; Ryan, age 17, is a junior at Northfield Mount Hermon School while Garrett, age 9, is a third grader at the Northfield Elementary School. Mrs. Dintaman has been employed with the Massachusetts Trial Court as a probation officer for more than twenty years. The Dintamans enjoy relaxing at their summer home in New Hampshire where they participate in many outdoor activities including water skiing, sailing, kayaking, fishing and loon watching.
