Dr. David W. Brown Selected as Peer-Reviewer at Frontiers in Education Conference

Dr. David W. Brown, MSSM Chair of Computer Science and Director of Information Technology has been selected to be a peer-reviewer for papers being submitted to the Frontiers in Education (FIE) Conference: Racing Toward Innovation in Engineering Education to be held in Saratoga, Springs NY October 22-28, 2008.

Dr. Brown was selected as a reviewer of submitted papers based on his academic credentials, leadership positions in academia, and current work at the Maine School of Science and Mathematics. Papers include a wide topic area in Engineering Education.

As a portion of the Computer Science Seminar course at the MSSM, Dr. Brown's students will be introduced to professional paper refereeing by reading and commenting on these papers.

The 38th Annual Frontiers in Education (FIE) Conference is a major international conference devoted to improvements in computer science, engineering, and technology (CSET) education. FIE 2008 continues a long tradition of disseminating educational research results and innovative practices in CSET education. It is an ideal forum for sharing ideas, learning about developments in CSET education, and interacting with colleagues.
