A new Health Center was opened in the summer of 2009! The Health Center is located at 38 Trafton Avenue, only a short distance from the residence hall. A nurse is available by phone 24 hours a day and nursing services are available at the Health Center from 7:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. When the students have issues that need medical assistance beyond that provided at the Health Center, a Nurse Practitioner is available by appointment two days a week at the clinic. There are also two hospitals with emergency services available, located within 30 minutes of the campus. Nursing services are also available if a student is having mental health problems. Nursing staff have experience in psychiatric nursing s well as medical nursing. For those who need regularly scheduled appointments, a counselor is at the campus each week for one-on-one sessions .
