December Tournaments

December Tournaments

This past weekend, Mr. Kinney ran a series of mini tournaments to help students relax, connect, and try new challenges at the end of each week. The goal was simple: give students regular chances to play together, compete in good spirits, and find others who enjoy the same games. Events range from strategy and numbers to sports and wordplay.

Some examples include: Cribbage, 1v1 / 2v2 Pool, Root (board game), MathHeads.net, Pendulum Swing game, Trivial Pursuit, Spades, and a campus-wide Spelling Bee.

Some matches were held on Friday, while most took place over the weekend. Students could enter one event or many, jump in to cheer, or just watch and learn a new game. These mini tournaments gave students low-pressure ways to meet new people, share favorite games, and build our community one matchup at a time.
