LCS/MSSM Aquatics Center
We are thrilled to announce that the pool at the Limestone Community School and the Maine School of Science and Mathematics is ready for splashes and fun once again! The grand re-opening on Sunday, April 7th, was a celebration of community, partnership, and the future.
After heartfelt speeches and the symbolic ribbon cutting, the facility was proudly renamed the LCS/MSSM Aquatics Center, marking a new chapter in its storied history. This achievement was made possible through the joint efforts of the Maine School of Science and Mathematics, Limestone Community School, the generous Fabio family, and the entire Limestone community.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to LCS Superintendent William Dobbins and Jeff Candura, MSSM Foundation Executive Director, for their inspiring words during the dedication. A special shoutout to Mariah Havens, our dedicated Senior Residential Instructor and lifeguard trainer, who will be the Aquatic Center Coordinator.
The pool is now open for students from both schools and the Limestone community at large. We know of a few hundred summer campers looking forward to it this summer. A huge thank you to everyone involved in the refurbishment and reopening of this fantastic facility. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a resource available in Aroostook County. Here's to many years of making memories in the water!
