Mathletes Shine Again

Mathletes Shine Again
On April 1st, 12 MSSM mathletes attended the 46th Annual Maine State Math Meet, held at the Augusta Civic Center. This was the final event of the 24-25 season, with over 1,000 students competing. Usually, our Ivory math team is considered the top, but for this event, participants were chosen based on points they earned through previous matches. The team consisted of 10 participating members plus two alternates.
At the end of the event, MSSM had earned second place for Class A for the season and tied for first place with Bangor High School for the competition scores. Juniors Ari Anghel and Lily Reichert earned Junior Awards, and Ethan Pettyjohn earned a Sophomore award.
We'd like to give thanks to coaches and Math teachers Mr. Larry Berz and Mr. Byron Ramirez, and also to the MSSM Admissions Department for supplying the team with matching uniforms.
