MSSM on Track for States

On May 16, 2024, MSSM athletes showcased their talents at the Aroostook League Track and Field Championship held at the Johnson Athletic Complex at Caribou High School. The MSSM team, representing Limestone/MSSM, put forth impressive performances across various events.

Niko Theriault excelled in the Boys 100 Meter Dash, securing 3rd place with a time of 12.44 seconds. Theriault also demonstrated his versatility by competing in the Long Jump (17-09.50) and Triple Jump (34-08.50). Ben Uhlenhake finished 5th in the Boys 800 Meter Run, clocking in at 2:30.30. In the Girls 1600 Meter Run and 3200 Meter Run, Emiko Peck represented MSSM with times of 7:31.96 and 17:09.85, respectively.

In field events, Audrey Stimson and Madison Allen participated in the Girls Discus Throw, with Stimson earning 2 points. David Shaw and Quinn Smith excelled in the Boys Discus Throw, with Shaw throwing 110-04.50 for 6 points and Smith 109-08.50 for 3 points. Additionally, Smith secured a strong finish in the Boys Javelin Throw with 134-09, earning 8 points.

Notably, Quinn Smith and David Shaw's outstanding performances have qualified them for the State Championship on June 1st at St. Joseph's College of Maine in Standish. MSSM looks forward to their continued success at the state level.
