MSSM Robotics Dominates

MSSM Robotics Dominates

MSSM VEX Robotics teams 4393A and 4393Z were Tournament Champions at a recent Monmouth qualifier. This was the second match for team 4393Z and there was only one member of the team present as it was a busy weekend for MSSM. Three of MSSM's four VEX teams have now qualified to attend the Maine State Championship, to be held in South Portland on February 28 and March 1. Winning at the state meet will qualify 6 teams to represent Maine at the World Championship in May in Dallas, TX. We have been to Worlds in the past and ranked 7th in our division.

VEX V5, the competition system, is the fifth generation of 20-year-in-the-making educational robots. Its electronics are powerful and versatile, with modern technology for hands-on STEM education. The mechanical system is adaptable, making it easy for beginners to get started and allowing for advanced students to push engineering boundaries. With VEX, students learn computational thinking that is essential to problem-solving in today's workforce and beyond. With all their recent success, MSSM's teams have a strong possibility of performing well at states.
