MSSM Robotics Symposium

Maine School of Science and Mathematics will hold its first Robotics Symposium on October 4, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Thomas College in Waterville. The symposium is free and open to the public, bringing together students, teachers, and professionals to celebrate and develop robotics in Maine.

Throughout the day, the visitors will be exposed to the energy of both the FIRST and VEX robotics communities. FIRST teams will have LEGO League and FRC robots on display, conduct mock judging with feedback, and interact with veteran volunteers ready to assist new coaches and teams. In the VEX section, a full competition field, strategy testing, and scrimmages will be available, designed to enable teams to practice in a supportive, low-stress setting.

The symposium also highlights robotics beyond the competition floor. Within the Industry Zone, companies and organizations will talk about how robotics is affecting Maine's workforce and how Maine sponsors are fueling opportunities for students. Guests will be able to walk through team pit areas, observe live scrimmages, and talk directly with leaders who are cultivating robotics across the state.
