MSSM Science Bowl Champs
MSSM Science Bowl B-Team took top honors at the 2025 Maine Science Bowl, held on the University of Southern Maine Portland campus on Feb. 8. Competing against leading schools from all over the state, MSSM took two teams, with the B-Team becoming the champions. The win will take them to Washington, D.C., on an all-expenses-paid trip for the April National Science Bowl.
The National Science Bowl, established in 1991 by the U.S. Department of Energy, is one of the country's largest intellectual competitions, testing students in a speed-verbal format on all areas of science and mathematics. It has seen over 344,000 students take part in its 34-year history, with champions moving on to national finals. MSSM's win showcases the academic culture of excellence in the school, and the team is already eagerly anticipating fighting the nation's best at the national level.
