MSSM Shines at DECON
This past weekend, our MSSM KEY Club students embarked on an 8-hour journey to Springfield, Massachusetts, for the three-day Key Club District Educational Conference (DECON). They immersed themselves in workshops, learning about leadership roles within Key Club and exploring growth opportunities as members. A highlight of their weekend was packing 75,000 meals for food pantries, marking DECON's 75th anniversary with a meaningful act of service. Upon their return they brought back 5 boxes, each filled with 35 packaged meals to donate to local food shelters.
Excitingly, two of our students achieved significant milestones: Samantha Butts was elected as the Board District Treasurer of New England and Bermuda, and Mia Shaw became the District 1 Lieutenant Governor. It was a weekend filled with learning, service, and fun, including a dance and interactions with Key Club members from across the New England region.
