At MSSM, academics are at the heart of what we do, but it is the community that makes the boarding school experience unforgettable. Living and learning together in a boarding environment means that students don’t just share classrooms; they share everyday life, and that creates opportunities for small but meaningful moments of connection.

One such moment occurred on a Sunday during brunch, the day after returning students checked in. Lunch was served in the dormitory so that visiting families could gather in one place and meet the Board of Trustees. After the event ended, no one would have expected the students to think twice about the clean-up, but a few did. Quietly and without being asked, they began returning the kitchen items from the dorm’s lower lounge back to the kitchen. When asked why they decided to help, one student explained simply, “I saw them setting up for lunch yesterday and knew these carts needed to come back to the kitchen, and I just wanted to be helpful.”

That thoughtfulness captures what life at MSSM is all about. The sense of responsibility, awareness of others, and willingness to pitch in are part of what makes this community special. Boarding school isn’t just about academics; it's about learning to live together, support one another, and create a place where everyone feels valued.
