Safety Certified: MSSM

We're thrilled to announce the recent success of four new lifeguards in the MSSM community! These dedicated individuals have just completed their Red Cross lifeguarding certification, a rigorous program taught right here on campus by our esteemed Senior Residential Life Instructor and lifeguard trainer, Mariah Havens. Not only have these four lifeguards gained a valuable skill, they are adding value and safety to our community.

Our lifeguarding program equips students with essential skills and knowledge to ensure safety in aquatic environments. Participants, aged 15 and above, undergo thorough training, including a comprehensive swimming skills test, to prepare them for real-world scenarios. Whether through in-person sessions or blended learning options, our flexible courses cater to diverse learning styles.
