Science Bowl Success
MSSM's Science Bowl teams demonstrated exceptional resilience and determination in the recent virtual competition. Team A, comprising Sammy Blodgett, Owen Milliken, Steph Sweep, and Dylan Wombacher, secured an impressive 3rd place, while Team B, featuring Aubrey Ainsworth, Amanda Nicholson, Ariella Searfoss, and Mia Shaw, secured a commendable 9th place. Despite the challenges of virtual participation, both teams showcased their intellectual prowess and dedication.
With only two seniors departing, MSSM anticipates an even stronger showing next year. The maximum number of teams allowed and the competitive format ensured a rigorous and engaging event. The opportunity to compete head-to-head in Zoom, utilizing the Slapbowl buzzer system, added an exciting dimension to the competition.
As MSSM looks forward to future Science Bowl endeavors, the prospect of earning a coveted spot in the National Finals in Washington, DC, serves as a motivating goal for aspiring young scientists. Congratulations to both teams on their remarkable achievements!
