STEM Summer Upgrades

MSSM's STEM Summer Camp is evolving with fresh and exciting innovations designed to enhance the experience of our eager young scientists. We have reconfigured our first session as a Discovery Week for younger students so they may sample a variety of STEM activities, and three themed weeks for high-achieving older students, each featuring a specific STEM discipline.

Discovery Week will introduce campers to a variety of STEM disciplines, awakening them to the promise to be discovered. Space Week will immerse students in the rapidly growing world of space travel, from rocketry to astronomy, space colonization to meteorology. Earth Week will delve into environmental science, sustainability, and conservation, challenging campers to learn and protect their world. Tech Week will challenge students to work on real-world problems in computer science, robotics, and engineering.

Perhaps the most notable enhancement to the program is the field trips to local industries correlating with each theme in order for students to see STEM in action and meet industry experts. Whether the week or not, campers will be taking home improved problem-solving skills, teamwork, and a clearer picture of their future in STEM.
