Tournament Champion
Big win for MSSM VEX Robotics on Saturday, January 17th. Congrats to Team 4393A, Noot Noot Robotics, who took the top spot as Tournament Champions at Bangor High School. They held 3rd place most of the morning and only slipped to 5th in the afternoon.
Then they partnered with 344E, Thunder Chickens from Scarborough High School. That alliance dominated the finals, beating an alliance from Cape Elizabeth and Bangor (John Bapst).
MSSM also earned the Judges' Award, which recognizes special attributes and extra effort at the event. It also highlights how well a team can explain the engineering process behind their robot. This qualifies them for the state championships.
The high score for the event was 176 by Snugglemuffins from John Bapst, their opponents in the final match, which also set a new state record. It was a competitive day.
