MSSM Track & Field Athletes started the 2026 season during April break at a meet in Old Town on April 25. Only 5 members of the team could attend, but we still had some highlights from the event. Annalise Roderick, a sophomore from Readfield, earned second place for the girls' 1600m race walk and a provisional qualification for the state meet. This means that if there are not enough other athletes who qualify for the Girls' 1600m race walk, they will accept those with provisional status. Annalise hopes to improve her time during future meets.
Zander Mussmann, a freshman from Cherryfield, placed third in the boys' 400m dash. Jud Smith, a sophomore from Vassalboro, also scored with a sixth-place finish in the 300m hurdles.
Also competing were Brady Bouchard, a sophomore from Greenbush, in the Boys' 100m, 200m, and Shot Put, as well as Roshan Roberts, a junior from Rockland, in the 100m and Long Jump.
