Welcome Mr. Scheidler

Welcome Mr. Scheidler

Mr. Timothy Scheidler comes to MSSM with wonderful experience and credentials, which will enable him to be an effective instructor of composition, research, literature, and creative writing. For two years he taught composition and literature survey courses as a Teaching Assistant at Queen’s University, where he also worked one-on-one with students as a tutor. He has also aided library guests in their research, helping them navigate resources and find materials, for over seven years at Turner Memorial Library where he worked as a librarian, cataloger, and grant writer. In addition to this valuable work experience, Mr. Scheidler holds a B.A. in English Literature, an M.P. in Popular Literature, and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing, and he is currently earning a doctorate in English Literature from Queen’s University. He was a National Merit Scholarship finalist and was accepted as a participating writer in the Iowa Writer’s Workshop. He has also worked as a staff reviewer for Fantasy Literature.com and has published three stories of his own. In addition to his work in literature and research, he brings musical talents to the community as a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist. Between his work in literature, his experience in education, and his community-oriented approach to teaching, Mr. Timothy Scheidler will be an ideal addition to the MSSM faculty.
