Maine Principals Association
Every year the Maine Principals Association holds a luncheon to honor one outstanding high school senior from each public high school in Maine. The luncheon provides schools with the opportunity to acknowledge this senior's academic standing and commitment to their communities. The criteria for the MPA Award is "academic excellence, outstanding school citizenship, and leadership." Students who receive the MPA award receive a plaque, lapel pin, and catered meal and are entered into a drawing to receive a $1,000 scholarship for college.
We are excited to announce that MSSM faculty and staff have selected this year's outstanding senior: Tryn Fallon!
Please join us in congratulating Tryn for her four years of academic excellence and stalwart dedication to the MSSM community. In nominating Tryn for this award, her teachers remarked, "Her [Tryn's] contributions to the community are numerous. She is always striving to make our school a better place"; "She is always advocating for her fellow students and is a forward thinker with all things MSSM"; "Tryn has also advocated for women's reproductive rights and has raised money for her local reproductive health awareness group."
Thank you, Tryn, for your engagement in MSSM's academic program as well as your commitment to making MSSM and the world around you a better place!
Tryn and Dr. Helana Brigman will be attending the annual MPA luncheon on Saturday, April 1st. Keep your fingers crossed she is one of Maine's lucky scholarship recipients!
