MSSM Penguin Station
At about 1.30 this afternoon our new automated weather station "PenguinStation" up on the VEX room roof went live. Thanks to the MSSM Foundation we now have an onsite weather station that updates a raft of environmental conditions every 16 seconds, 24 hours a day. Our J-Term troops helped with assembly and calibration, and Dr. Eustis-Grandy and I got it up onto the roof around lunch today. On Tuesday two classes will start using this data in real-time, but I thought all hands might like the link to our dashboard for daily use (or simply to horrify relatives from away who do not like winter.) Heartfelt thanks to all who helped us turn and burn on this today before the next round of storms- it's a big relief to look out from my classroom and see it up there and on duty.
