World Class Faculty
85% of faculty hold advanced degrees, 6 of whom hold terminal degrees in their fields (PhDs and MFAs).

Students work closely with faculty in small class sizes. MSSM’s student to teacher ratio is 7:1.
Diverse Course Offerings
During the 2024-2025 school year, MSSM faculty and staff offered:
- 83 courses in Math, Science, Social Studies, World Languages, Health, Fitness, College Counseling, Computer Science, English, and Fine Arts
- 7 on-campus January-Term experiences
- 4 Independent studies in Computer Science, Engineering, and Mathematics
- off-campus travel experiences
With an emphasis on experiential, hands-on, lab-based programming, MSSM’s Science Department prepares students with a core background in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
MSSM’s Mathematics Department offers students a strong foundation in mathematical principles, with the ultimate goal of every student completing Calculus prior to graduation.
In the English and Fine Arts Department, students learn the critical thinking skills essential for any mathematician, scientist, or scholar.
In the Social Science and World Languages department, students have the opportunity to take social studies electives and experience world languages first-hand through international travel opportunities.
January Term is a special time at MSSM where students can focus on a subject, course, project, or even an off-campus internship.
The Student Support Team works with individual students, groups of students, and faculty and staff and fosters a campus-wide student success oriented climate through a wide range of collaborative and evidence informed activities.
