Cost of Attendance

Opportunities for Maine Residents

Along with the cost of tuition being waived for Maine residents, Maine has other wonderful opportunities to make their path towards MSSM possible. These opportunities allow us to offer a true Maine educational experience, where 88 different cities and towns are represented amongst our student body.

Another opportunity built for Maine families is the Maine Town Tuition Program, which provides over 70+ cities and towns that do not have a public high school the opportunity to come to MSSM. Families who qualify  and approved through their town statue could receive up to 10,850 in your tuition. To learn more about this, please click here.

Financial Aid

At MSSM, we are dedicated to providing a high-quality education to all students, regardless of their financial situation. While the state covers tuition costs for qualified Maine residents, we are equally committed to supporting you in securing the financial aid you need to cover room and board expenses. Maine families who wish to be considered for financial aid are required to complete a financial aid application with Facts Management. The Facts Grant & Aid assessment process, very similar to the college financial aid process, provides the amount the family should be able to contribute to Room and Board. Facts Management will provide MSSM with a Family Need Report. In financial aid, there is also a limited amount of scholarship funding generously provided by the MSSM foundation and open to any student.

For the 2026-2027 academic year, the FACTS application must be completed by February 8th, 2026  for prospective families to be considered. Following this deadline, financial assistance will be awarded based on the availability of remaining resources. For returning families who previously received aid or would like to be considered, it will be January  14th, 2026.
