Applying to MSSM: A Step-by-Step Guide for Families (11/18/2026 7:00 PM)
This webinar is designed to help prospective students and families better understand the MSSM application process. We will walk through each part of the application, including student essays, parent statements, recommendations, transcripts, testing, interviews, and important deadlines. Families will also have the opportunity to ask questions about how to complete the application and what the admissions committee looks for when reviewing candidates. This session is ideal for families preparing to start or complete an application.
Student Voices: Life, Learning, and Community at MSSM (12/16/2026 7:00 PM)
Hear directly from current MSSM students about their experience living and learning on campus. Students will share why they chose MSSM, what the transition to residential life was like, how they balance academics and activities, and what they enjoy most about the MSSM community. This webinar will give prospective students an authentic look at dorm life, classes, friendships, clubs, weekends, and student leadership. Families will also have time to ask questions during the session.
1/13/2027 7:00 PM Parent Perspectives: Supporting Your Student Through the MSSM Experience
This webinar will feature current MSSM parents sharing their perspectives on the residential school experience. Families will hear about the transition to boarding, communication with students, academic and residential support, weekend visits, homesickness, independence, and student growth. This session is especially helpful for parents and guardians who want to better understand what it is like to support a student at MSSM from home. Parent panelists will share honest reflections, advice, and lessons learned.
The Value of MSSM: Why Choose Maine’s #1 High School (2/10/2027 7:00 PM)
This webinar will focus on the value of an MSSM education and why families choose Maine’s #1 high school for their students’ high school experience. The session will highlight the strength of MSSM’s academic program, college preparation, residential model, student leadership opportunities, peer community, faculty support, and the long-term benefits of attending a school designed for academically motivated students.
