Impact
Since 1994, the MSSM Foundation has raised over $2.25 Million to support the staff and students of MSSM.
The MSSM Foundation has funded grants to support student financial aid, facilities upgrades and improvements, the development of new programming, faculty professional development, student travel, extracurricular activities, and expanding MSSM’s margin of excellence. Here are some examples of the impact we have made due to the generosity of our donors.
Student Experience
The MSSM Foundation works to improve the student experience at MSSM. Some recent grants that have directly impacted students include: funding student travel to the Berkeley National Laboratory in California; grants for financial aid; summer camp scholarships, funding for student clubs; and covering the costs for a variety of student activities including participation at national and international competitions. The MSSM Foundation also funds the MSSM Parents Association and the MSSM Alumni Association and partners with those organizations to support our students and alumni.
Academic Experience
Gifts to the MSSM Foundation supports faculty and the academic experience. Examples of recent grants from the MSSM Foundation include: paying for faculty members graduate coursework; covering the cost of conference attendance; funding the pilot of a bridge program for incoming MSSM students; supporting several J-Term courses; the purchase of digital pianos to help expand our music class offerings; and the addition of MSSM’s own weather station.
Facility Improvements

Donations to the Foundation immediately help students, faculty, and staff make the most of their MSSM experience. Our grants expand and extend the work of MSSM outside of the classroom; improve residential facilities; make research projects more accessible; allow for students to represent themselves and MSSM at local, state, and national competitions; and increase the opportunities for teachers to seek professional development that keeps them at the leading edge of STEM education
Your donations are essential to the continued success of MSSM and we appreciate your commitment.
